Costa Coffee x ITG: Halo content production for major campaigns

Costa Coffee have launched several significant marketing campaigns since the start of 2024, with ITG delivering the halo of engaging, tech-enabled, agile content needed to bring them to life across their restaurant locations.

Hot milkshake

ITG took the hero creative for Costa’s popular Hot Milkshakes campaign and created window graphics for around 45 key store locations across the UK, including university campuses and Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.

The window graphics were well-received by customers and delivered at pace across all locations.

Breakfast promos

Costa’s new range of breakfast deals saw ITG revamp existing creative assets and deliver a suite of fresh in-store POS to drive customers towards these offers. Content spanned digital and print touchpoints in Costa stores, along with OOH.

Our support spanned retouching photography alongside content production and copywriting, and finally delivery to all participating stores across the Costa estate.

Costamisation

The Costamisation campaign was a new venture for Costa, aimed at delivering a more bespoke experience for their customers when ordering their favourite Costa refreshment. ITG were briefed to deliver tech-enabled, agile content across Costa’s digital menu boards, helping to highlight key personalisation features for the drinks.

Working with Costa’s existing stock and library photography, ITG applied new animations, maintaining the clean background as a constant while integrating different elements and flavour cues.

Results from a 30-store trial showed that our animations resonated strongly with customers, and we then managed the nationwide store roll-out of this new digital menu content, incorporating additional drinks, different flavours and a variety of milk options.
